Fresh from the dev log

What's new

The game is updated almost every day. Here's what landed most recently.

Hard mode

See the charge coming

On Hard, elites dash 8 m at you. Now they glow red and rear back first, and a red lane on the ground shows exactly where they'll go. The aim locks when the warning starts, so a sidestep gets you clear.

The Store

Dress for the end of the world

Mobs now drop Star Dust. Spend it on 24 hats, backpacks, tops and shoes, from a Beanie to a Hero Cape that flies out as you run. See the Store

Pets

Bring a friend

Ten pets follow you through every run. Stand still and each one does its own thing: Ember the baby dragon tries to breathe fire and sneezes smoke. Meet them

Performance

3,000 mobs at once

The crowd engine was tuned until a 3,000-robot swarm runs smoothly, reactions and all. Bigger swarms, same frame rate.

Features

Survive the swarm. Climb the Tower.

Thousands of mobs

Survive the swarm

Your weapons fire on their own. Your job is to move, dodge and pick upgrades. Every level-up offers three powers, and nothing is capped: attack speed, crit and lifesteal keep stacking until you're a walking storm. Each planet sends its own native robots, up to 3,000 at once, and they keep coming.

Minute ten

Then comes the Bull Rush

Stay on a planet for ten minutes and the Bull Rush starts. Robots pour in ten times as fast, and faster every minute after that. Each minute also raises the enrage level, so the swarm gets tougher, hits harder and moves quicker. Beat the Gatekeeper and get through the gate before then.

Every gate leads up

Climb the Tower

Beat the planet's Gatekeeper and its portal drops you into the Tower: a fresh maze of fight rooms, elite packs and Power Chests in the dead ends. At its heart waits the real boss. Leave its room and it heals to full. Snipe it from the doorway and the kill doesn't count.

Synergies

Elemental reactions & Fusions

Every weapon has an element and leaves a status. Hit a burning mob with frost and it MELTS. Freeze it, then burn it, and it SHATTERS. There are ten reactions to find, from STEAM to SUPERCONDUCT. Own both weapons of a pair and its Fusion card joins the chest pool to supercharge that reaction.

Between runs

Chart the stars

Every run earns Star Points. Spend them across 288 stars in 8 regions, pick up to two Keystones that bend the rules, and turn up the Heat for more XP. Respec any time, for free. When the chart is full, Mastery keeps going.

Loot

Gear up & forge

11 slots, 9 gear types, 5 rarities. Every boss drops a piece. Wear it, or feed three alike to the Forge for one better. Legendary ranks never end.

Build crafting

Every weapon gets a twist

Weapon Augments change how a weapon fights: ricocheting saw blades, cluster-bomb fireballs, prism-split lasers, plague clouds that spread on death. Pick one per weapon and build something nobody else has tried.

The Store

Dress for the end of the world

Robots drop Star Dust as they fall, and elites drop it ten times as often. Spend it in the Store and wear your look on every planet. It's all looks, no stats.

Gear that moves

  • Hero Cape sways when you stand and flies out behind you as you run.
  • Rocket Boots keep a pilot flame lit and burst when you dash.
  • Jetpack flames flicker, and Angel Wings slowly beat.
  • Space Suit Vest lights blink, and the Crown comes in gold with gems.

Four rarities, from Common to Legendary. Epic and Legendary cards sparkle in the Store, and buying one bursts into stars.

Pets

Bring a friend

Your pet runs at your side through every run and teleports back if a portal leaves it behind. Stand still for a few seconds and it gets bored.

The arsenal

Seven weapons. Six elements.

Mix any of them. The interesting part is what happens when they meet.

Planets & natives

Ten worlds. Ten kinds of trouble.

From Mercury's furnace plains to Pluto's frozen edge, every planet has its own terrain, sky and native robots.

Bosses

Topple the machines

Every floor rolls one of them to guard the gate on the surface, and one to wait at the top of the Tower. You don't know which until you meet it.

Six boss powers

Every boss rolls its own powers: one on Easy and Normal, two on Hard. Each attack is marked on the ground before it lands, and on Easy every warning lasts twice as long.
